Information we publish
HazIndex public pages are built from OSHA-derived public enforcement records, including citations, standards, penalties, locations, industries, dates, and related ranking summaries. The public site does not require visitors to create an account.
Analytics
HazIndex may use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure public page views, navigation, broad device and browser information, approximate location, referrers, and product interactions such as ranking filters, year comparisons, share actions, and business-access clicks.
These tools may use cookies, local storage, scripts, or similar identifiers to distinguish visits, understand usage patterns, and detect technical issues. HazIndex does not intentionally send search text, employer names entered by visitors, inspection identifiers, citation identifiers, or arbitrary full URLs as custom analytics event values.
Retention and choices
Analytics retention is managed through the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity project settings used for the production site. Visitors can limit cookies or analytics scripts through browser settings, privacy extensions, or device controls. Some browsers also offer controls for clearing local storage and site data.
